Kilja was a member of the Drakemorian Infantry in the final year of the before Drakemore joined with Elidor. In the final months of Drakemore, Kilja was fighting with a small force with his son, Kennith, who had just been squired. Durring the stick of combat, Kilja looked over to see how Kennith was doing to see a spear slide under Kennith's shield and impail him. Distracted in his rage, Kilja soon took a blow to his head that left him unconscious. When Kilja recovered, the battle had gone poorly for the Drakemorians. Although they had won, they had taken heavy casualties, including all of the Clerics. Kilja took the body of his son, and carried him back to the nearest church. The clerics were able to resurrect Kennith, but the spear had shattered Kennith's spine and he would never walk again. That day Kilja resigned from the Drakemorian infantry.
Kilja began to dedicate his life to the healing of the sick. After seeing the carnage of war, he didn't want to see any more of his brethren suffering. After three years as an acolyte, the leaders of the church decided that with Kilja's experience in battle, that he would do best as a battlefield cleric, and support his new country, Elidor. Although rusty in his fighting abilities, Kilja gladly steps up to the front line to fight, for he would rather himself to fall in combat then to allow his brethren to suffer.
After two years of service to the Elidorian Infantry, Kilja was appointed to be the Minister of Style. Kilja freely admits that the most likely reason for this appointment may in fact be that now that Kennith is no longer in the Infantry, he began to to use his connections in the Infantry to start trading and supplying goods to the Drakemorian and then the Elidorian Infantry. Predominantly Kennith supplies armor, tabards and banners to the Infantry, which just happens to now fall under the responsibility of Kilja.
